Programme educational objectives (PEOs)

  • The student will possess professional knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences and technology applicable in pharmaceutical, healthcare industry, community pharmacy and academia as per the requirement.
  • The students will acquire professional skillset and ability for problem solving to work in pharmaceutical & healthcare sector with professional mannerism like ethical code of conduct, good communication skills, team spirit to contribute in the field of drug design & research, formulation and analytical development , standardization, pharmacovigilance, and promote sales & marketing and rational use of medicine.
  • With the grooming and knowledge gained, the student will play a major role as professional Pharmacist in the health care team and participate in implementation of various health programs at large.
  • The student will inculcate the urge for lifelong learning and upgradation to meet the needs of the profession and society.

Program specific outcomes (PSOs)

  • To train students at the graduate level theoretically as well as practically in various branches like Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmacy Practice in order to develop them into competent professionals, future leaders and responsible citizens.
  • To impart various skills and hands-on training to the aspiring Pharmacists to fulfill the requirements of the industry & society, thereby leading to creation of employment opportunities.
  • To inculcate entrepreneurial abilities in the students and encourage them to start commercial production of drugs and formulations, sales & marketing, repackaging, retail, wholesale businesses.
  • To enable student community to pursue for higher education & research in Pharmaceutical and healthcare field.
  • To develop the domain knowledge right from the drug discovery up to its final administration to patient to alleviate suffering of humanity through the study and practice of Pharmacy and to bring health and happiness to all.

  • The student will possess all-inclusive knowledge of pharmaceuticals/ medical devices to promote health; and ability to assess, and coordinate safe, accurate, and rational medicine use; and to improve its therapeutic outcomes.
  • The student will have capability in handling challenges during routine pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services considering quality of pharmaceuticals, drug information and therapy including legal and ethical aspects.
  • The student will play a vital role as member of health care team and participate in implementation of National health programs.

Program specific outcomes (PSOs)

  • To provide competent pharmacy graduate to hospitals and Healthcare sector, pharmaceutical industry through excellent pharmacy education.
  • To develop clinical expertise and skills to provide patient care, taking into account legal, ethical, social cultural, economic, and professional aspects.
  • To update student knowledge with emerging technologies, in the field of biomedical and pharmaceutical sector, along with social or behavioral and clinical sciences that may impact therapeutic outcomes.
  • To strengthen professional and ethical attitude to promote health improvement and disease prevention in co-operation with patients, communities, vulnerable population, and other professional health care providers.
